指初生儿出现壮热、烦惊、痰多喘急、目赤胞肿、便秘、小便赤等的一类证候。是由于产母在妊娠期过食热毒之物，或过服温药，热蓄于内，熏蒸胎气所致。孕妇经常目赤多眵或眼目昏花，亦名“胎热”
