生剑南道诸州。三月生，苗似大麦，五月开白花。味苦，温，无毒。敷灸疮、金疮，止血定痛。

煎汤止吐血鼻衄，又主中恶，温胃止呕吐，疗心腹冷痛、热淋。苗叶煮作汤浴，辟邪气，令人身香，合诸名香甚奇。
