《医方考》小柴胡汤·

柴胡（去芦）黄芩（炒）人参甘草半夏（法制）生姜大枣疟发时，耳聋，胁痛，寒热往来，口苦，喜呕，脉弦者，名曰风疟，此方主之。

此条皆少阳证也，以少阳为甲木，在天为风，故《机要》名为风疟。柴胡、黄芩能和解少阳经之邪，半夏、生姜能散少阳经之呕，人参、甘草能补中气之虚，补中所以防邪之入里也。正考见伤寒门。
