904年9月22日，朱温派人弑杀唐昭宗。唐昭宗之前将新产太子裹以御衣，侑以珠宝，交近侍胡三逃脱至婺源县，太子更名胡昌翼，科考得明经科进士，称明经胡氏，胡昌翼的后代有胡雪岩、胡适等。朱温杀了唐昭宗后自行称帝，史称后梁。朱温晚年荒淫，强奸儿媳，后为三子朱友圭所杀，终年61岁。
